The Nassau M52 Apparent Wind Direction Gauge is used extensively in the marine industry on ships, ferries, and private watercraft, providing a precise indication of wind direction relative to a ship's heading. The M52 incorporates a precision syncro, which drives the indicator around the dial which is designed specifically for marine use.
Wind direction is displayed using a continuous 0-360 degree pointer (full circle rotation), 0 Degree Bow, 5 Degree increments. The dial shows the outline of the ship, with 0 - 180 degree Port and Starboard indications. The pointer indicates the direction the wind is coming from relative to ships heading, Port or Starboard side.
Indispensable for wind powered watercraft, as well as powered vessels. When combined with the Nassau M50 Wind Speed Gauge, you have the most accurate "at a glance" indication of wind information.
The M52 is supplied with a special split tail wind vane (A2739) which reduces side to side flutter, 100 feet of cable, and all mounting hardware.
